Need A Duplicate Copy? No Problem.
When a document needs duplicating and copies of it stored (a delivery note for example) then you need NCR (No Carbon Required).
NCR books are used in a number of ways, most typically delivery notes, purchase order books, statements, receipt books, incident report books, log books and inspection books. Pretty much anywhere more than one copy is required.
NCR books usually consist of two or three parts and are often numbered and perforated. They can be printed on a choice of paper colours.
An NCR set example:
- A white sheet on top
- A tinted/coloured second and third sheet.
How it works: During the manufacture of NCR a coating consisting of microcapsules is applied. The pressure of writing destroys the microcapsules releasing colour formers.
